"As with many things word of month is the best advert. When a friend said to me "I see that your ship (I'm in the Royal Navy) is visiting Northern Italy, you have got to rent a Ducati from Ducatitours, they're fantastic". I thought it sounded like not a bad idea - let's face it, most people dream of riding a Ducati in Italy. What I wasn't prepared for was the utter level of commitment that everyone a Ducatitours gives to their customers. Writing gushingly is not my style, but so rarely have I come across customer service of this standard that I felt compelled to write. From the minute I contacted them by email to the minute I left, I felt like the only customer they had and believe me when I say that I didn't make it easy for them. My dates changed owing to the ship's programme, I needed to be picked up, I wanted to bring the bike back late owing to a meeting I had to attend!
And then there were the roads. On my second day I rode out of Lucca up into the near by mountains to a Ski Resort called Abetone; the road, the scenery, the lack of traffic, the amazing food - heaven.
I would recommend the whole experience and indeed I have convinced a couple of friends to come back with me next year for a tour. ”
